WHAT IS PILATES

What  Is Pilates?

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. Our Pilates workouts are 55-minute sessions, and we use a machine called the Reformer, or you can enjoy our mat classes too. Our Pilates Teachers are fully qualified in the Body Control Pilates or Stott Pilates Method. Pilates can be done on both the Mat and the Reformer. Our studio offers both. The Reformer is, however, a specialist machine that brings incredible results. Pilates tends to target your core, although the exercises work the entire body as well. You can expect the exercises to involve slow, precise movements and breath control. We have an extensive repertoire of exercises and we offer private sessions, duet sessions and Reformer Classes. We use the Reformer to aid in the rehabilitation of sports injuries and the management of various conditions. It's known to work wonders during recovery & works well with Osteopathy.
